The invention of Bitcoin and blockchain technology has allowed extending benefits of the Internet by allowing anyone with Internet access to transfer value almost instantaneously and in the most secure way known up to date. At the core of Bitcoin's security and freedom of usage is the idea of distributed consensus: uncoordinated actors all over the world are competing to verify transactions. The notion of distributed consensus and digital money has quickly spread out, and soon first entrepreneurs started working on projects that have these concepts at the core of their products. Seeing a lack of interest by traditional forms of financing, like venture capital or banking industry, entrepreneurs have come up with an innovative crowdfunding model – Initial Coin Offering. While this type of funding has been abused a lot by fraudulent actors, it's a step in the right direction: for the first time in history, anyone from anywhere could participate in financing early-stage promising ventures.
Our mission is to democratize capital formation by allowing people from all over the world to raise funds for their ventures and invest in others. We believe what we are doing is of utmost importance towards reducing wealth inequality and preparing people for the world of automation and the declining value of labor. We can imagine the future where regular people work as investors 3-4 hours a day, controlling their previous investments, participating in the community, and looking for new promising startups.
